Convinced of being among the latest generation capable of making a difference in the fight against global warming, the two partners launched their activity to be as ethical and united as possible.

 

 The relationship between furniture and the environmental cause is not immediately apparent. We want to link the house's intimate setting with the external issues related to the ecological crisis we are going through. It is essential for everyone to feel good in their home, so they might design it with an ethical product that supports causes.

The first collection is in crowd funding; it includes clocks, coat hooks, and wooden armchairs certified PEFC or FSC, from a sustainably managed forest in Isère.

 

 Roman and Leandro met with several associations before selecting three that also liked the Nitin project. They were chosen based on the issues to which they are particularly sensitive.  Each piece of furniture is decorated with patterns specially created to represent the causes of the environmental associations that are partners in the project. On the sale of each item, 10% will be donated to one of the associations. Roman and Leandro's goal is to increase this stake as Nitsn grows until it reaches 30% redistribution.  Nitin's name came to them from the word "Nits", an ancient unit of measurement for visible light. Roman and Leandro chose it for its symbolism: 3D wall clock

 

 "An old word which represents hope and knowledge."

 

 Inspired by their many trips to Asia and the countries' philosophy, they added a final "n" to represent their circular model, which is based on the principle of "give and take". Designer wall clock

 

 The official launch will take place during Paris Design Week, during which the general public will be able to see and touch the manufactured objects. In the long term, Roman and Leandro hope to create a movement bringing together various committed furniture players and going further in their approach by using recycled wood or already existing products for manufacturing new objects and uses.
